Cue To Eclipse - gig listings flyer

This image was created using a combination of both Illustrator & Photoshop using the fonts Silver Sideshow & Alte Haas Grotesk. As the band have no promo photos, just live ones of individual members I chose against using that approach. The flyer includes a couple of quotes from well respected sources where they have been described as epic & compared to arctic tundra. So I found a royalty free image of an epic landscape photo of the arctic from www.sxc .hu & edited the colour/contrast/brightness to create this. There are no filters used & the border was created by drawing lines in Illustrator & selecting a different brush type to create the rough effect. I think the image really sums up the big ambitious sound that the band utilises. The font used for the actual listings gives it that rock image, while the top half of the image demonstrates their softer & big epic side which is something very important to the band. It is the part of them that defines their sound best.
