This job seems really interesteing, it seems not many fashion companies would go straight for graphic designers, more for fashion designers specifically. I am very confident with Photoshop & Illustrator, the only drawback is the required 4 years experience. i have been a design student for 6 years now but i don't know if this is something they would consider as what they want. I have also experimented with making my own t-shirt designs before, so I have had experience in the same area of work the require. I went through several different styles with by designs, so maybe I can show parts of all of them which would demonstrate my flexibility within this particular industry.

My skills do not cover all of the coding they mentioned, but i am fairly confident in HTML & know how to use CSS & some JavaScript. This one may be something worth considering. Chances are, I wouldn't need to know all of them anyway. I have made several HTML websites myself & my main one hosted by the Vis Com page is made in Flash. So I have experienced several areas of web design. & of course, InDesign & Illustrator I know well, so it would be no problem if they wanted me to design using them. In fact, this could be my advantage, as I know these programs, particularly Illustrator, very well.

Although I don't have experience in a similar role as they ask, this is my first job, but I do know all the software they ask for. Specifically Illustrator & Quark I am very confident in. But I would say I know more Quark than I do InDesign. Also I know CSS & HTML which is a bonus & gives me some advantage. Of course I am highly motivated to learn new skills as I have only the knowledge gained from university. But in general I think I would have most of the knowledge required to be successful in this job.

Where this ad asks for experience in a design environment, it does not actually specify whether this is employment or otherwise. In which case, having been on some sort of a design course for 6 years I have had the experience needed. I have completed projects outside of education as well. I have worked with all the software they mention & I do have an interest in photography & web work. Of course I am always willing to learn new things & I think my CV demonstrates this.

I have worked equally with PC's & Macs so I have the neccessary experience in that area. But this ad does not specify any particular software, though I do know all the main programs needed for design so I don't see this being a problem, I am sure my portfolio demonstrates i have the skills needed to be a designer. It seems as if it is just a general design job & something I would be quite  capable in.

A good understanding of Photoshop is important as you will be working with the senior graphic designers assisting with literature and internal reports. Please apply with a recent resume and small pdf of work examples, thank you.Network-Career Management Consultants is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.

http://www.designweek.co.uk/Jobs/32611/Graphic+Designer.html

Although I am very confident with Photoshop i have never looked at Framemaker, not even heard of it. If this is something that is used within the industry I may have to find out what it is. If it is simply another layout program, I am fluent in Quark & InDesign. But Photoshop skills are not a problem, I know how to to use that confidently.

http://www.designweek.co.uk/Jobs/32586/Graphic+Designer.html

I actually use Quark more than I do inDesign & as this is the program it asks for experience in it shouldn't be a problem. Illustrator & Quark, I am more than competent in & yes, i can produce my own artwork. i don't know any other way in the work I have done so far (apart from some photography used in band posters/flyers) so this job would seem ideal in terms of my skills compared to the ones that are required.
